HUGX WINS TOP AWARD AT NEW YORK PET FASHION WEEK 2008

The first feeding bowl designed from a pet's perspective, Hugx, has won Pet Fashion Week New York 2008's Lifestyle Innovation award under the Pet Dinnerware category. The top pet brand beat 35 other companies to the prize including well-known Italian designers Alessi

Hugx (pronounced with a silent kiss) was the only UK company to make it through to the final which was held at the Metropolitan Pavillion in Manhattan on 23rd and 24th August.

Speaking of the company's triumph, Hugx CEO Jane Grant says, "I'm delighted that the Hugx bowl has been recognised with a design innovation award. We've always known it is a truly unique and lifestyle changing design and it's fantastic that the rest of the pet world knows this too!"

4th April to the 4th May is National Pet Month.and the team at hugx are keen to support this excellent campaign for pet care. As hugx pet feeders were inspired by one rescued irish setter, we our pleased as punch pet care is being highlighted this month. She wanted the best for her dog and as a pet owner wanted a really functional way for Oscar and other pets to eat ergonomically . An interesting story has come back to the hugx office here in Derry! One gentleman sent his ex-girlfriend a hugx pet feeder for her pet, "lovely guy" we thought! Seems he's just had a valentine day proposal....we love to hear a happy ending:)! Half the hugx team went out to the Global Pet Expo in Orlando and celebrated Valentine's Day getting to know pet store owners in the USA. It's an issue for many pets and for their owners! After a veterinary operation your pet comes home wearing a buster collar, or as we say here, and elizabethan collar.
